Does your mouth water just thinking of adobo? Do you like it crispy? Maybe a bit more vinegary than your lola’s but with just the right amount of soy sauce? Is pork better than chicken, or just “different”?
Adobofest Site About Photo vid linkStarted in 2008 by the Filipino American Network (FAN, in order to increase awareness and help raise funds for our partner charities, last year’s event was attended by 1,200+ adobo-curious, Fil-Am community embracing Chicagoland residents.  Our mission was simply to bring Filipino-Americans together, across all ages and generations, in a new and fun way that displays the dynamic and colorful culture of the Philippines. Adobofest ( ) is a unique festival because it provides a way for performance groups to present their art to attendees.  It is also one-of-a-kind adobo-tasting competition that objectively enables “Chicago’s Best Adobo” to be selected both by impartial, blind taste judging and attendee’s popular vote.
